Sept 24 "DOPE SICK - Fentanyl's Deadly Grip" - This 2016 VICE movie, directed by Shawney Cohen and rated by IMDb viewers at 8.4 will be showing at 7 pm at Sunnybrook United Church in Red Deer. Following the film, speakers from Safe Harbor and Turning Point will be available for questions and discussion. Free admission. Everyone welcome.

October 1 "Reserve 107: Reconciliation on the Prairies" - Indigenous rights and title to the land remains a taboo topic for many across Canada, but in the small town of Laird, Saskatchewan, an old injustice is providing new opportunities for dialogue, friendship and a fierce determination to right the wrongs of the past. Come view this documentary (approx. 35 minutes), and join in the ensuing discussion from 7 - 9 pm in the parlour at Gaetz United Church, Red Deer. Facilitated by Amy Mueller.

October 20 Alex Kusturok in Concert - Grand North America Fiddle Champion, Alex has a blend of techniques in his music, influenced by Metis, Quebecois, and Cape Breton fiddle styles. 7 pm at St. Andrew's United Church in Lacombe. October 22 - 26 Healing Pathway workshop, Phase 3 at Providence Renewal Centre, 3005 - 119 Street NW, Edmonton. Communion of Saints is coming to Alberta. Prerequisite is completion of both Phase 2 workshops. Registration is open and the class is half full already.More Info Here
October 27 Musical Concert at 7 pm at Knox United Church in Didsbury. "The Great Plains", who will be playing a blend of Bluegrass-Gospel/Celtic and Folk and many familiar songs that everyone knows & loves. Tickets are $15 a person. Invite your friends or make a date with your sweetheart! Everyone welcome.
November 24 Christmas Bazaar & Coffee Party at the Gaetz United Church Pioneer Hall, 9 - 11:30 am. Admission by donation. Home baking, jams, relishes, salsa, pickles, gift baskets, knitting, jewellery, white elephant items, Christmas decorations & more.
December 1 Come help us celebrate the life and ministry of Calgary Presbytery, which will conclude at year end. The Gala will take place from 5 to 9 pm, at the Coast Plaza Hotel, 1316 - 33rd Street NE in Calgary. The evening includes dinner, displays, and entertainment by the HeeBee JeeBees.
